Terraria Review

Terraria, the new game from Re-Logic, has been causing some noise in the gaming world as of late, not even a week after its launch. On the surface, the game appears to be nothing more than a 2D Minecraft clone. However, once played it reveals itself to be something more. To quote a fellow youtuber, Totalbiscuit "It just feels more gamey". Indeed it does, with a variety of monsters to fight, from low-level slimes to bosses, as well as npc's, crafting (which is much more user friendly and with more variety than Minecraft's), and the ability to build a town from the ground up makes this game feel like no other. Another thing that makes this game unique is that items, rather than staying on the world, separate from your character, stays with you from world to world. This removes the feeling of complete helplessness that can happen in minecraft when starting a new world. This sandbox-adventure game is really worth buying, with quite a lot of bang for your buck, but for someone just starting out, surviving is quite difficult. Overall, I thing this game deserves 4.5 out of 5 stars.
